{"id":96,"date":"2014-09-05T02:51:31","date_gmt":"2014-09-05T02:51:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ctolson.com\/?p=96"},"modified":"2020-02-06T14:23:44","modified_gmt":"2020-02-06T14:23:44","slug":"gigging-in-a-brave-new-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/ctolson.com\/?p=96","title":{"rendered":"Gigging in a Brave New World"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well as fall rolls around and I begin looking at the end of my first year back playing music after 17 years away from my solo show, I think of what I&#8217;ve done and what I&#8217;d like to do.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ctolson.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/ctogershwin.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-98 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/ctolson.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/ctogershwin-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"ctogershwin\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/ctolson.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/ctogershwin-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/ctolson.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/ctogershwin.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>There have been the mixed &#8220;American songbook&#8221; gigs on keyboards, with all the old &#8217;60s to 90&#8217;s pop stuff. \u00a0The acoustic guitar gigs revisiting all the 60&#8217;s to 90&#8217;s folk music I&#8217;ve played over the years. \u00a0The original gigs doing just my own writings on keys and guitar, the pop gigs that end with two sets of thumping dance music.
